I'm Rob. I've spent 17 years in software quality and 11 leading teams, and I've been building my own products the whole way through. The two feed each other: leading teams taught me how good software gets shipped, and shipping my own keeps me honest about what it costs.
Today I lead QA and release engineering for Anaconda's AI platform, with 19 team members across multiple timezones. I'm also the founder, owner, and operator of Sarro Solutions LLC, the studio behind Famorama, Sarfolio, and the Templeton Budget Explorer. I take each one from spec through production release myself: design, architecture, code, testing, and launch. AI tools like Claude Code are part of how I work every day, and I measure what they change rather than assuming it.
Outside of work I'm a husband, a father of five, and outnumbered by three needy labs. I'm up at 6:00 AM for journaling and dedicated learning before the workday starts. Consistency beats intensity.

Led team-wide adoption of AI-assisted development tools including Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor, cutting time to automate frontend and backend coverage by roughly 70% across all supported products.
Served as interim VP of Engineering for ~6 months, owning delivery and planning for the full engineering organization while continuing to run QA and DevOps.

Lead QA and release management for Anaconda's AI platform with 19 engineers across multiple timezones, owning hiring, development, and performance. Built the release process from scratch — taking the organization from no release visibility to full visibility on dates, content, ownership, and checklists — and now define and enforce cycle time, change failure rate, and on-time delivery across multiple releases per month. I also lead AI adoption across the QA organization, coaching GitHub Copilot for code review and Claude Code for execution with custom skills and agents, and own capacity planning across 27 active projects.

Built the QA function from the ground up at an early-stage startup, standing up a Playwright framework integrated with CI/CD that reached 20% automated coverage of core workflows within the first 60 days. Set test strategy around high-risk areas, partnered with Engineering and Product leadership to shift testing left, and directed API testing initiatives that gave the team repeatable contract and integration validation.
